WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?

Answer

we are asking for a preliminary RSVP on this website, using the RSVP tab as soon as you get your Save the Dates Invites. We are asking that you do so in advance so that we know how many rooms that we need to reserve. However, formal invitations will follow.

DO I NEED A PASSPORT ?

Answer

Yes. You will need an active current passport. It will take about 8-12 weeks to process your application so start as early as you can. You can expedite your application at an extra cost. Total passport cost is $145.

CAN I STAY AT ANOTHER RESORT ?

Unfortunately all wedding guests must stay at Secrets Akumal.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED ?

This will be an adult-only resort , we apologize for any inconvenience. We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off too.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE REQUIRED FOR THE RESTAURANTS?

Answer

YES! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! Most restaurants require Casual Elegance attire which consists of sneakers, tennis shoes or dress sandals (no flip-flops) and dress shirts with sleeves. In addition, long pants are required for men as well as no sleeveless shirts for men. However, some restaurants require Casual attire which consists of Bermudas, long shorts or capri pants, sneakers, tennis shoes or sandals. In addition, no sleeveless shirts for men, no bathing suits and ladies must wear a bathing suit wrap or cover-up.

WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE IN JULY

Answer

Slap on that sunblock or sunscreen. It will be hot and a little humid in July. There may be a random shower here or there during the day as the Caribbean gets ready for the beginning of hurricane season.
