At the end of 2021, Ayala noticed that her friend Sarah had been spending a lot of time with two guys—Milo and Asad—and asked if she could meet them because they looked cool. One evening soon after, Ayala and Sarah got dinner while Milo and Asad were at a Knicks game. The group met up at a rooftop bar afterward. Sarah had primed Milo with a bunch of information on why he'd like Ayala, and told Ayala that he had a crush on her. She didn't think Ayala would be interested (silly!). Within a few minutes of meeting at the bar, Ayala asked Milo to get her a drink and said, "I heard you have a crush on me." After spending all night getting to know each other, Milo texted Ayala the next morning and asked her out. We've texted every day since. And now we're getting married.
