We’ve never quite agreed on when it all began — Mohamad is convinced it all began in Rome — Aya with too many bags in her arms, and him, ever the gentleman, swooping in to help. Aya, on the other hand, insists it started earlier — a fleeting moment in a Belgian hotel lobby, where Mohamad, dazed on Panadol and completely unaware of his charm, made a less-than-memorable first impression (at least to himself). But what we both remember is a quiet spark — a simple exchange of names, some small talk, and the strange certainty that we were meant to cross paths. Then came silence. Until a random Sunday in Beirut brought us back together. Same basketball club. Same drive home. And the realization that we’d been living across the street from each other all our lives. Same neighborhood. Same university. Same world — yet we had to meet halfway across the globe. Then came six years of magic — Of long-distance goodnights and countdowns to reunions, of new countries and small businesses, of cliff jumps and karting races, Coldplay concerts and museum wanderings. We’ve grown through the unexpected and held each other through every high and low — always, always on the same team. Now, we’re ecstatic for what's to come, more adventures, new countries, maybe a cat or two? and simply live life side by side — through the ordinary and the extraordinary — one day at a time. But before all that begins, we can't wait to celebrate this moment with you — hearts full, smiles wide, and love all around!
