Spend some time exploring historic old town just a short drive from the venue. Visit museums, shops and local restaurants, enjoy the beautiful New Mexican architecture and learn a bit of the history. Fun Fact: Axiao and Chelsea took some of their engagement photos in Old Town!
One of our favorite places to eat just a short walk from both hotels we are working with, Sawmill is a local food hall with various food and drink vendors to choose from. Pasta, sandwiches, tacos, poke, pho and much much more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy here.
A famous spot in Albuquerque known especially for their lavender, Los Poblanos is a farmstead, inn, restaurant and more. We are often meeting family here for brunch and swinging by their storefront after to stock our bathrooms with their handsoaps and lotions.
For our outdoorsy friends and family, enjoy the scenic hike through the Petroglyph National Monument and walk the footsteps of the people who were here before us. Learn about the local history and awe in the natural beauty Albuquerque has to offer.
Our favorite local bar, we always end up here after a night out with friends. Owned by a world renowned bartender, famously known for her appearance on a Netflix competition show called ‘Drink Masters’ there is always something fun and new to try at this establishment!
A trip to New Mexico isn’t complete without a stop at Sadie’s for a sopapilla! A quintessential New Mexico chain, you can’t go wrong with a dinner here, or at least grabbing a jar of their salsa from a local grocery store.
Now with locations all over the states, the very first Meow Wolf art instillation never disappoints. About an hour away from Albuquerque, but more than worth the drive. An incredibly fun visit for all ages! Fun Fact: Axiao once performed here when he was doing comedy!
One of New Mexicos most well renowned artists, Georgia O’Keeffe’s work can be seen at this Santa Fe gallery. This museum is one of the first spots Chelsea visited with her parents after their move to this state, it’s a must see for our artistically inclined friends and family.
