In the summer of 2001, Morgan and Max had their very first dance during the annual Golden Heights block party (#GoldenHeights). Max asked Morgan to dance to the song “Oh What a Night” by the Four Seasons. A few weeks later, Max mustered up the courage to tell Morgan his true feelings. He ran down to Morgan’s house with his cousin as his witness and screamed “Morgan Axenfeld, I love you!!!” Max ran up the street with embarrassment to Grandma and Grandpa's house while Morgan ran home to tell her parents the news.
After Morgan graduated from Cornell and Max from Lehigh, they both found themselves working in New York City. Being mindful that Max was 3 years younger than Morgan, she was hesitant to agree to a drink after Max had reached out to reconnect. On February 18th, 2017 Morgan and Max met at the Viceroy Rooftop for a drink. She had plans with a friend for dinner, but when she saw Max for the first time in 10 plus years, she quickly grabbed her phone to text her friend “sorry, I need to cancel - I’ll explain!” They were inseparable ever since.
After an unexpected summer spent in Syracuse due to the pandemic, Max had planned a nearby weekend escape. Alongside Morgan’s brother Dalton and his fiancé Kaitlyn, they planned a weekend at The Sagamore Resort in Lake George. Max popped the question at sunrise with no one else in sight - just as they had both wanted. In the Summer of 2022, Morgan and Max will say “I do” in the exact same spot where Max proposed. We can’t wait to relive this moment and make many more memories with you!
