Where should I park?

Answer

For the ceremony at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, a parking lot is conveniently located directly across the street. Additional parking is available beside the church courtyard, surrounding the Bank of America. Guests may also park at the corner of Hasell and Meeting Streets, as well as in the lot between the yellow house and the Hasell Street lot. Street parking can be found along Wentworth Street, and several nearby garages are also available. For the reception at the Historic Rice Mill, parking is available adjacent to the City Marina and is self-paid. We kindly encourage guests to consider rideshare services such as Uber for ease and convenience.

How far is the ceremony from the reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are just a one-mile drive apart, and there’s plenty of parking at both venues. Thank you for making the short trip to celebrate our day with us!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. We kindly ask that guests arrive between 4:30 and 4:45 PM to allow ample time for parking and seating. Your timely arrival will help ensure a smooth start to our celebration!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

In honor of the event, we invite you to wear attire that blends cocktail and semi-formal styles with a touch of spring elegance. Please consider pastel and cheerful colors. The ceremony will take place in a church, followed by a reception in a beautiful indoor-outdoor setting. For the ladies, flowy, long dresses in pastels or vibrant muted shades are warmly encouraged, though not required. Gentlemen are invited to wear suits and ties, with the option to add a colorful tie or pocket square to complement the spring theme. Please dress to impress and enjoy the festivities!

Can I bring a plus one?

The names on your wedding invitation envelope indicate who is invited. If your invitation includes a guest, we warmly welcome you to bring someone special. If your invitation does not include a plus one, please know that we truly value your presence and look forward to celebrating with you. Due to venue capacity, we are unable to extend additional invitations, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

Are children welcome?

As mentioned, all invited guests are listed on your invitation and in the RSVP section of our website. While we truly adore children, due to limited space, we kindly ask that if your invitation does not include them, this evening be enjoyed as a special adults-only celebration. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you join us in having an unplugged ceremony by putting away phones and cameras to fully be present in the moment. A professional photographer will beautifully capture all the special memories for you. However, please feel free to take as many photos as you wish during the reception!

Where can I find the wedding registry?

You can find our registry on the Registry tab of this website. We are registered at Zola, Amazon, Target, Bloomingdale's, Crate & Barrel, and Pottery Barn, and also in person at the Marion Emporium in Marion, South Carolina. Thank you so much for your generosity! We truly appreciate it.

We’ve reserved room blocks at a few nearby hotels for the convenience of our guests. Kindly refer to the Travel section of the website for comprehensive details and reservation information regarding the Lightsey–Brewer room blocks at multiple locations for the wedding.
