***WEATHER WARNING***

Please be advised that due to the expected windy and rainy weather conditions much of the wedding celebrations will be moved indoors. We expect to be able to have airflow with as many doors and windows open as possible.

How We Met

First comes the gym, then comes marriage.

We've told many of you that we met at the gym, and that's partially true. The full truth is that we met online and quickly followed up with a gym date! Daniel was doing the dude thing and Sara's friend set her up a profile just for fun. In the midst of many messages, apparently Daniel's "Hey" was the winning line. The next thing they knew Daniel was carrying Sara down the stairs of the YMCA, stopping every few steps to squat. The squat takes the cake, if you know what we mean.

The Proposal

Friday, June 25, 2021

Sara knew the proposal was coming as she and Daniel had gone engagement ring shopping together, but the when and how were a complete mystery! Daniel popped the question on Sara's favorite dock with a panoramic view of the Puget Sound. Daniel was quite the planner and acquired the assistance of his sister and brother-in-law to capture our engagement. He told Sara that the plan was to meet Christina, Walter, and Weslyn at the Ram for dinner. They happened to be on their way down to Seaside, so it would work perfectly for them to make a pitstop. Just before dinner, Daniel told Sara that he needed her to pick up a few snacks from the grocery store to prepare him for her 24-hour shift at work the next day. Sara thought for sure that of ALL DAYS, this would not be THE day as it was Christina's birthday. When Sara returned from the store, Daniel and the kids were not home. Frustrated, she called him with the "WHERE ARE YOU?" Daniel nervously pleaded with Sara that everything was ok, and to just come down to the dock. When Sara arrived, her three children were lining the walkway down to the dock with bouquets of roses, while Daniel stood below waiting to pop the big question. Sara gathered the roses as she made her way down to her future-husband. When she got to Daniel her first words were "you're so sweaty!" This helped lighten the mood some and brought about the laughs. Daniel exchanged some sweet words and then asked Sara if she would do him the honor of marrying him. She of course said, "I do!"
