In light of recent events, we've made the difficult decision to change our original plans and have an intimate affair. We wish we could have everyone there! But the health of our loved ones is our top priority. Please stay tuned for more information regarding possible virtual access and a future celebration with everyone when the status of the world improves. Thank you so much for understanding! Xo
So it all started in a little town called Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Amanda lived with her friend Sarah and attended Coastal Carolina University. Sarah had a cousin named Elizabeth that also lived in Myrtle Beach and would hang out them frequently and Amanda became friends with Elizabeth too. One weekend Andy drove down from Maryland to Myrtle Beach to visit his cousin Elizabeth and meet his second cousin Sarah. That’s when he met Amanda. He immediately realized how amazing she is and tried dating her to no avail. She loved playing hard to get. Throughout the years they stayed friends, keeping in touch through social media and contacting each other here and there (mostly Andy texting Amanda if she’s ready to run away and get married). One day while Amanda was on instagram, she noticed that Andy was getting a new puppy. She proceeded to comment on his picture and tell him that she’s stealing the new pup. He let her down gently. From then on they increased the frequency in which they spoke. Amanda realized she wanted to be Andy’s girlfriend one night when they were playing the question game through text. It was then that she saw what type of person he is, realized how much they got along, and knew she wanted to spend more time with him. Andy always knew he wanted Amanda to be his girlfriend. When they started talking more frequently, he thought, “Man, it would be really cool if this actually went somewhere and she became my girlfriend.” Little did either of them know that they were to be husband and wife one day!
For the weekend of their one-year anniversary, they stayed at The Westin hotel in Alexandria, VA. They had an amazing dinner at The Wharf, walked the port in Old Town and had an overall amazing night. They got back to their hotel room and it was there that Andy got down on one knee. He told Amanda, “I don’t wanna wait anymore, will you marry me?” She said, “Of course!” And then started crying (big surprise). We are SO happy to celebrate our love with our family and friends! Xo
