Definitely the most beautiful place to be near Estes Park! Timed entry permits and park passes are required to visit and can fill up quick during the summer. Reservations for June will be made available on May 1st at 8am. Hiking Options in the Park: - Bear Lake Corridor (Where all the best alpine lakes are! Limited car entry and can get crowded, so plan to arrive early. Make sure to book the “Timed Entry+ Bear Lake Road" when making reservations.) - Sprague Lake (where to find the moose!) - Lily Lake (closest to Estes Park) - Upper Beaver Meadows Trailhead & so many more!
A famous scenic drive that reaches an elevation of over 12,000 feet, featuring gorgeous views of mountains and valleys! Note that the national park pass is needed. Try to get all the way to Alpine Visitor Center, about a 45 minute drive from the entrance to the park. Lookouts along the road: - Medicine Bow Curve - Forest Canyon - Rainbow Curve - Alluvial Fan Trailhead
Get a great view of Estes Park without having to hike :) This tram is one of the few European-style cable cars operating in the United States!
