We will be holding a cocktail hour from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. prior to the ceremony to provide guests plenty of time to arrive. The ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. sharp to catch the sunset.
Street parking is free on 1st Ave S., but may be in high demand for this event. Additional parking is also available behind the venue at 2916 Utah Ave S. We recommend using a rideshare app or carpooling. Please enter from the 1st Avenue entrance at 2915 1st Ave S. under the big red "Year of the Monkey" sign. Please note: if you search on a Maps app or input "WithinSodo" for rideshare, it will take you to the Utah street address behind the venue.
Sorry, but we have to bring it up. Covid fatigue is real, but it is something we still prioritize. In order to attend this event, we require you to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Boosters are also strongly recommended. We will not be requiring masks, but we support the decision to wear one if it makes you feel more comfortable! If you feel sick or have symptoms of a cold or Covid, please take a rapid test or a PCR test and stay home if you test positive for Covid-19. If you are experiencing symptoms but have a negative test, please wear a mask or consider staying home. Thank you for protecting us, our older guests, and those with compromised immune systems.
The entire building will have been professionally cleaned and sanitized prior to the event. WithinSodo staff will continue to disinfect all high touch surfaces (bar stations, doorknobs, handrails & restrooms) hourly during the event. All WithinSodo employees are vaccinated and will be wearing masks during the event.
At the time of this writing, we are following the CDC's guidelines when it comes to ending isolation. If you have any sick-like symptoms, or have come into contact with someone who is Covid-positive, please do the following: 1. Inform Connor and/or Rae of your situation. 2. Follow the most updated CDC guidelines: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/isolation.html
Wedding Semiformal. According to The Spruce, "Semiformal attire is an outfit that is dressier than what you'd wear to an office, but not as dressy as a [lavish] gown or tuxedo. If the event is held in the evening (such as our wedding), the semiformal guidelines lean more [towards] formal than if it were held during the day." Keep in mind that semi-formal is dressier than business casual in a wedding setting. Please refer to this webpage for further guidance: https://www.thespruce.com/semi-formal-attire-guidelines-1216504 Please note it will also be winter in Seattle and we will be holding a semi-covered rooftop ceremony; blankets will be provided and tents will set up in the event of rain, but please plan ahead accordingly.
Yes, kids are welcome, however PLEASE NOTE that the ceremony from 5–5:30 p.m. is an adults-only event. A professional babysitter will be onsite from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., and we will have a room within the venue prepared to give the kids a fun space of their own. If you do plan on bringing your child, please notify Connor and Rae so that they can set up the sitter for success and provide you with more information, and don't hesitate to reach out for questions.
You bet.
The full ground level where the reception will take place is ADA accessible, but stairs are currently the only way to access the rooftop deck where the ceremony will be held, as it is an old building.
