If they were not invited by us, please do not bring a date or your kids (no matter how cute either of them are). If you have an infant that is very attached to you, we fully understand that they will be in attendance, and will likely make themselves known. We just ask that a parent with the baby steps away if your baby becomes loud during the quiet part of our ceremony.
Yes. There will be signs guiding you to the correct parking area, and then signs/attendants leading you to the bathrooms, bedeken, chuppah, and reception areas.
The camp facilities are set up for 4th - 11th graders. The wedding locations (chuppah + reception) will feature backless benches. Chairs with backs will be provided for those adults that require; however, we suggest that you prepare children booster seats accordingly. There are animal traps around the perimeter of the camp, so it is imperative that parents monitor their children at all times. For this same reason, dogs and other pets are NOT permitted at the camp.
Yes! It doesn’t not include the lake, but it includes the majority of the campus! Ramah will check and maintain a kosher eruv.
Yes, at Ramah we strive to meet the standard of a religious community. Therefore, all programs that use our facilities are expected to follow our religious policy. Except for emergencies, guests are prohibited from entering or exiting Camp grounds for the duration of Shabbat. All participants must arrive before Shabbat and may not depart until after Shabbat has ended. We also encourage all guests to refrain from using electronics in public spaces. No outside food or drink may be brought into the dining room. All food brought to camp must have a proper kosher symbol.
In accordance with the Shabbat observance policy at Ramah we make the following activities available to groups on Shabbat: sports, hiking, and limited elements of the low ropes course. We will also have lawn games, drinking, singing, board games, and general frivolity.
