This is where we got engaged! Hike to the top for a nice workout and view of the whole city, or just drive up the road around sundown to see a glorious California sunset over the ocean (pending weather conditions).
We love to stroll the boardwalk — despite all it's craziness! Grab some fresh fruit from the vendors, explore the shops, and walk in the sand while watching the surfers and swimmers enjoying their beach day.
Visit the Getty Villa Museum in Pacific Palisades to enjoy Greek and Roman art housed in a re-created Roman seaside home.
If you want a truly spectacular view of the whole city from the Hollywood hills, we recommend this must-do attraction. Plan to come earlier in the day and save time for parking as it gets pretty busy with tourists.

The Pacific Coast Highway (California State Route 1) is a renowned 650–656 mile scenic route connecting Dana Point to Leggett, offering iconic views of rugged cliffs and beaches. Key stops include Big Sur, Monterey, and Malibu. We recommend starting south in Santa Monica and driving up north to Malibu - pending good weather as it can be a bit foggy this time of year.
We've hiked all across this area over the past three years, despite the recent fire damage. There are few different hikes between 2-8 miles. Beautiful views of the west side of LA, all the way from the ocean to downtown.

Danny's favorite place to clear the mind. A man-made, iconic surf spot located at Venice Beach, California, consisting of large rocks, piping, and a sandbar that create consistent, sheltered, and popular, high-quality surf conditions for both experienced surfers and beginners.
We went here for our first 30-minute speed date. A great coffee shop right near the beach.
