Avience and Daiyawn's story began on September 3, 2017, at a mutual friend's birthday celebration at a downtown Indianapolis nightclub. They danced and laughed for much of the night and it was clear there was something special between them. As the night continued, Daiyawn stepped to Avience with a single rose. Where did he get a rose in a nightclub, you might ask? It remains a mystery. The rose was a quiet promise of something more and set the stage for their first date at Kilroy's where they enjoyed breadsticks and thoughtful conversation. Their journey together has countless cherished moments, from cozy movie nights to an unforgettable first trip to New York City where they discovered a shared love for travel. On August 23, 2023, surrounded by their loved ones, Daiyawn proposed to Avience.

Cancun, Mexico, was the first international trip Avience and Daiyawn took together. They chose it as their wedding destination to share their passion for travel and to create unforgettable memories with their loved ones.

Avience and Daiyawn chose to change their last name to Rose, not just because it symbolizes their story, but because they believe that a name reflecting their shared identity and experiences is essential as they build their future together and family legacy.
