Our Story

(Fall 2015) We first met at Harvey Mudd College...Avi was a senior and Kinjal was a freshman. As luck would have it, Kinjal's friend lived in the same suite as Avi, and this is how it all began...

(Fall 2015) We enjoyed spending time together...

(Spring 2016) Our first holi together at college!

(Summer 2016) 4 months after we started dating, Avi graduates...Then arose the question -- to distance or not to distance?

(Summer 2016) Given that we are getting married, it may be be stating the obvious, but we decided to give long-distance a shot! Avi posing on his very first trip to visit Kinjal post graduation!

Once, Kinjal told Avi she was missing him, and Avi took the next flight to visit Kinjal and surprise her! Clearly, Kinjal was all smiles...

(Summer 2017) Avi began working in Seattle post graduation. Kinjal chose to do her internship in Seattle so they could be together during the summer! This is at the top of Poo Poo Point.

(Summer 2017) Avi surprises Kinjal with roses for the first time...it only took him 1.5 years...

(Summer 2017) Avi teaching Kinjal how to skip stones...

(Summer 2018) Kinjal spends another summer in Seattle. Avi and Kinjal are together for Kinjal's 21st birthday! Kinjal's family flew down from Singapore!

(Summer 2018) Avi teaching Kinjal's dad how to drive a boat!

(Fall 2018) Kinjal visited Avi in Austin to spend thanksgiving with Avi and his familiy!

(Fall 2019) Kinjal starts working full-time in the Bay Area. Avi moves from Seattle to Bay Area to be with Kinjal! Avi helping Kinjal move into her apartment!

(Fall 2019) All geared up for Dandiya night!

(Winter 2019) Avi's family joins him in Singapore! All set for ziplining...

Avi popped the question in a cute, intimate setting in his backyard in Austin. Avi was so nervous that he put the ring on the wrong hand!

Avi had planned to propose to Kinjal here but COVID happened and Kinjal decided to fly to Singapore...Avi had to postpone his plans...We came back here to take a picture...
