Moscow Farmer's Market

The Moscow Farmer's Market is one of our favorite summertime activities! It is held weekly on Saturdays from 7 am to 1 pm in downtown Moscow (starting at 6th Street and Main Street). It hosts food vendors for breakfast or lunch and booths selling produce, baked goods, flowers, and local arts and crafts.

University of Idaho Arboretum & Botanical Garden

1215 Nez Perce Drive, Moscow, ID 83843

The University of Idaho's Arboretum & Botanical garden is a great stop for a stroll. You can park either at the northern end in the golf course parking lot (recommended) or at the southern end off Sand Road/Palouse River Drive. If you park on the northern end, you can also cross the street to access the Shattuck (or "Old") Arboretum - this is the University's original arboretum filled with mature trees. The Old Arboretum is where Avery and Will got engaged!

Hiking

There are many locations around Moscow for casual hikes! Here's our top recommendations (listed in order of proximity) - for more information on any of these trails, check their websites. Palouse Nature Center - A small preserve right in town, this is a popular dog-walking location. Phillips Farm - 10 minutes outside of town, the trails here are partially wooded so there is plenty of shade for a hot day. Idler's Rest - 15 minutes outside of town, this is where you'll find well maintained trails that are shaded and low-impact. Moscow Mountain - Moscow's own mountain is the most well-known hiking opportunity. There are multiple trailheads on the mountain, but the closest and most popular is the Headwaters Trailhead. The trails here aren't well-signed, so make sure you check the website (https://mambatrails.org/) before you go. Kamiak Butte - 30 minutes outside of town, this loop trail will give you the best views of the rolling hills of the Palouse.

University of Idaho Observatory

Near the University of Idaho's golf course is an observatory for imaging and observing the night sky. While it's not open to the public, Will has been involved with running the observatory for over 8 years and can give you a private "tour"! Reach out to us ahead of time if you think you'd be interested in spending an evening at the observatory.

Vine Wine Bar

618 South Main Street, Moscow, ID 83843

Vine Wine Bar in downtown Moscow offers wine by the glass or bottle as well as beer, cider, and cocktails. Other wine options: Colter's Creek Winery may have limited hours at their tasting room downtown - they post their hours on a week-by-week basis. You can also head down towards the Clearwater River where Rivaura Vineyard, Spiral Rock Vineyard, Basalt Cellars, and Wawawai Canyon Winery are located.
