York Beach-Short Sands
If you can find parking (meters), this is a gem—great beach (esp. low tide), excellent playground, public restrooms, cute shops nearby.
York Beach - Long Sands
Very close local beach. Shoot for low tide to have plenty of sand (https://www.usharbors.com/harbor/maine/york-harbor-me/tides/ ); restrooms are available but can be a bit of a walk; pay parking meters (go early for a better chance at parking).
Nubble Lighthouse
Beautiful lighthouse only a short drive from our venue. Check it out at sunset for exceptional lighting.
Downtown Portsmouth
A charming downtown with lots of shops and restaurants, great for strolling around.
Strawbery Banke Museum
A lovely living museum with houses dating back to the 1600-1700s in Downtown Portsmouth, NH. Take a tour and learn about the history, then pop across the street to Prescott Park to explore the beautiful flower gardens by the water.

Kennebunkport
A cute coastal town a little north of York. Walk around town and pick up salt water taffy or ice cream, watch the sail boats and fishing boats in the harbor, then drive to the point to walk around St. Anne’s by the sea Episcopal church,
Fort McClary State Historic Site
A well preserved 19th century fort located in Kittery, Maine. A great spot for a picnic along the water and a little history.
Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier
For a classic New England lobster experience check out this local spot. Eat outside right on the river with fresh caught lobster and local seafood.
