Will and Avery met while working as day camp counselors at Anderson Park District's Summer Camp Programming at Beech Acres in the Summer of 2019. They kept in touch over the next couple of years until they met up again in the Summer of 2021, when Avery moved back to Cincinnati from Akron. Shortly after they decided to begin their relationship.

Will proposed to Avery on Monday, November 18th, 2024, at Beech Acres Park, the place where they had met five years earlier.

Will and Avery enjoy playing golf, attending music festivals and concerts, going to the movies, trying new restaurants in town, and traveling together. Will and Avery collectively love (to a fault) their hometown sports teams: Avery has ample enthusiasm for the Cincinnati Reds, while Will devotes more of his energy to the Cincinnati Bengals and Xavier Musketeers Men's basketball. Although Avery went to the University of Akron (Go Zips!) she has always had a place in her heart for the UC Bearcats and still roots for Will's Alma Mater, Xavier University. Some of the places Will and Avery have traveled together include Asheville, NC; Traverse City, MI; Hilton Head Island, SC; Savannah, GA; and Indianapolis, IN (for music festivals).
