As soon as possible! :) We'd prefer an RSVP no later than 60 days before the wedding. So if you're planning on joining our celebration, we'd really like you to let us know by September 15, 2025 at the absolute latest. Thank you!
The first thing you need to know is that the Bavarian Inn Lodge is HUGE. Seriously, we can't overstate how big this place is. You'll be walking a lot if you stay on-site, because the resort isn't just a wedding venue - it's home to a massive water park, an arcade, the cutest bar you've ever seen, three restaurants, a mini-golf course, an ice-cream parlor, and multiple shops. There's a reason they hand you a map at check-in! If you get lost, just flag down one of the staff (they're the brave lads and lasses strolling the property in lederhosen and dirndles) and ask them to point you in the right direction. You can get along fairly well in Frankenmuth, whether you stay at the Lodge or not, without a car. It's a very walkable town and very tourist-friendly. We do realize not everyone is able to walk long distances. The Bavarian Inn is disabled-friendly and does have motor scooters available to rent. The hotel is wheelchair-accessible, and they have a wheelchair-friendly shuttle that goes from the hotel to the nearby restaurant and shops. The resort, as nice as it is, does not offer luggage service. You have to bring your own luggage to your room, and often, that will be a long way from wherever you've parked. They do have luggage carts available, but they are first-come-first-serve. Finally, the Lodge is unfortunately not pet-friendly. If you want or need to bring the furbabies when you travel, you'll have to stay off-site. The Hampton Inn Birch Run, Frankenmuth Motel, Drury Inn and Suites, and Days Inn by Wyndham Birch Run are all pet-friendly alternatives. If you need or prefer to stay off-site, you can still buy minigolf tickets, eat at the restaurants, and/or get day passes to the water park.
While we'd love you to attend the whole weekend with us, we understand that schedules, budgets, and travel distances can get in the way of the celebrations. The afterparty and morning-after breakfast are not "required" parts of the wedding and we won't be offended at all if you're only able to stick around for the ceremony and reception. To put it simply: if we invited you, it's because we love you. Any part of your presence is welcome and appreciated.
Our dress code for the wedding and reception is black-tie optional. Put simply: we just want you to look your best, so wear your fanciest, coolest, I-never-get-to-wear-this-but-it's-just-so-pretty outfit. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum...if you're planning to attend the swim-up bar afterparty, make sure to bring a swimsuit!
Kids are VERY welcome! The Lodge is a fun place, and we're VERY excited to see kids let loose in the arcade, the water park, or the mini-golf course. (And frankly, if any adults feel like letting their inner child loose in those places, we're not going to complain about that either!)
For convenience we chose to register at Amazon and Target. However, if you would prefer, feel free to use these registries as gift guides, and purchase from your favorite local businesses.
There is plenty of parking, but be warned - it can get a little crowded during peak times at the Lodge. We recommend arriving early and parking in the front by the main entrance, as the highest-traffic parking will be around the side by the arcade entrance. Once you get inside, the friendly staff will happily point you in the right direction.
If you're staying in the Bavarian Inn Lodge, transportation won't be an issue as all wedding events are on-site. For those who prefer not to stay in the Lodge, most of the hotels recommended on our website are all within walking distance of the wedding events. If forecast weather, physical limitations, or other conditions leave walking out of the question, let us know in advance and we will try to assist you in making alternate arrangements.
