Travel Note

Claremont California

Claremont, California, known as the "City of Trees," is a charming, pedestrian-friendly college town 30 miles east of Los Angeles at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains. Renowned for the prestigious Claremont Colleges consortium (Pomona, Scripps, McKenna, Harvey Mudd, and Pitzer), it features a historic, bustling village, tree-lined streets, and a population of roughly 35,000. The Village is a charming downtown area full of restaurants and shops to keep you entertained. Unfortunately, public transportation around town and to/from the wedding venue or hotels is limited. You will want to have a car or plan on using a rideshare service.

Flight

Ontario International Airport (ONT)

There are a couple options for flying in for the wedding. Ontario International Airport (ONT) is roughly 30 minutes from the wedding venue. Depending on where you're coming from, it may be easier or less expensive to fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) which is about 1hr 30min from the venue.

Hotel

DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont

There is a discounted room block available at the DoubleTree. It is closest to the wedding venue (10 min) and Claremont Villiage (5 min). The reservations will be for 9/24/26 - 9/26/26 as a default. If you would like to arrive before Thursday or stay later than Saturday, you can book with the link below and contact Melanie Merton (mother of the bride) at melanie.merton@outlook.com to request an extension. She can work directly with the hotel to extend your reservation (if space is available) at the discounted rate. Sheraton Fairplex Suites & Conference Center

There is a second discounted room block available at the Sheraton. It is slightly farther away from the wedding venue (20 min) and Claremont Village (15 min), but the rooms are suites and include a queen size pull-out bed. This may be a better option for those traveling as families. There will be a $25/night charge for parking. The reservations will be for 9/24/26 - 9/26/26 as a default. If you would like to arrive earlier than Thursday or leave later that Saturday you will need to make an additional reservation for those nights and contact the hotel directly to link your reservations. If you have any question or issues, please contact Melanie Merton (melanie.merton@outlook.com). The last day to book the Sheraton at the discounted rate is August 10, 2026. If the discount is "unavailable" please contact Melanie so we can try to open an additional block.

Travel Note

Ground Transportation

Public transportation and shuttle buses will not be available in Claremont. If you are arriving without a car, you should plan to rent a car from the airport or use Uber or Lyft during your stay. Free parking is available at the DoubleTree and Padua Hills Theatre. The Sheraton charges for parking. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
