Avery and Pierce met at work for a startup company called Humanitix. She in Customer Success and he in sales. Unbeknownst to either of them at the time, they would soon fall in love within months of Avery starting her role. After a little back and forth and a holiday party that left Pierce enamored with Avery’s beauty, the two decided to have their first date (though, Pierce would argue this wasn’t officially the first date) at a local gym where they exercised independently, met in the hot tub for some heart to heart conversations and left the gym better for the experience. The next week consisted of a dinner date for some pizza and the movie Priscilla. Dinner and a movie has become a staple in their relationship. As AMC Stubs members, they can see up to 4 movies a week. Shortly after their first date, they became official after Avery asked Pierce, “Can I be your girlfriend already?” Whether it’s the local Asian Mart or a new, local restaurant, the two of them have a love for food and what it symbolizes, creates, and shares with those fortunate enough to enjoy it. On February 14, 2025 Pierce proposed at none other than the Avery Hotel in Boise, ID shortly after asking Avery’s dad for permission to wed his daughter. The two of them look forward to a life spent remembering why they chose each other, reinvigorating their love, their faith, eating lots of food, spending time with family and friends, and getting to walk side by side on the ever exhausting, ever worthy, always exciting and chaotic journey that we call life.
