If you have some extra time we recommend visiting Downtown Chandler. It’s one of our favorite areas with great restaurants, coffee shops, and local spots to wander around. Scottsdale is an easy 25–30 minute drive from Mesa! Known for its sunny skies, beautiful desert views, and lively Old Town, it’s the perfect place for great food, shop, relax at a spa, or explore great food and nightlife!
Downtown Gilbert has a charming, walkable small-town vibe with lively energy, historic brick buildings, outdoor patio dining, and colorful public art that make it perfect for strolling. We recommend going to Topo to get the one of a kind prickly pear ice cream! Yum!
While there is a lot to do in the 5th largest city in the U.S, a few of our favorite spots that we recommend. - Downtown Phoenix: Valley Bar, Ziggys, Cobra Bar Arcade, Champagne Lanes, Sazerac, Luckys Indoor Outdoor, and Wilderness! - Scottsdale: Anything in Old Town! - Gilbert: Ohso, or Whiskey Row!
Sedona it is about a 2.5 hours from Phoenix. Sedona holds a special place in our hearts, and if time allows, it’s well worth the trip. From breathtaking red rock landscapes to scenic hikes and great food, it’s an easy day trip that feels like a true Arizona escape.
Trade cacti for pine trees with a trip to Flagstaff. Cooler weather, mountain views, and small-town charm make it a favorite Arizona escape. About 3 hours from Phoenix this can be a day trip if you're up for it! It is truly the desert escape and in the winter months you may even be able to catch some snow! Hike one or many of the beautiful trails, ski at Arizona Snowbowl, or see the beautiful historical downtown. There is so much do!
