Love Story

It all started back in middle school when Avery had a crush on Kimberly. At the time she just didn’t feel the same way. Sometimes the best things take a little time and their story was just getting started. They had known each other for years but it wasn’t until high school that they started really noticing each other. Kimberly was a freshman and Avery was a sophomore. They ended up in the same math class and over time she started seeing the guy in the back of the room who had quietly been making an impression all along. Eventually, she told him how she felt and on June 17th 2019, they officially started dating. In 2021, they launched KAM Collectives, their photo and video business, and it quickly started to grow. By 2022, Avery was racing almost every weekend and Kimberly spent her weekends either capturing weddings or following him to the dirt track. Between late-night races, dusty tracks, and filming for clients, their weekends became a mix of adrenaline and creativity that perfectly fit their life together. They spent three amazing years together at Charleston Southern University. When graduation came, Avery skipped the cap and gown. He had earned it but he had also landed an incredible opportunity traveling the country doing photo and video work for a professional dirt track driver. Before hitting the road he had one more stop to make, the biggest one yet, proposing to Kimberly. Avery started ring shopping in January 2025 and asked Kimberly’s parents for their blessing in March (they said yes!). True to his style, Avery picked up the ring on his way to a race, with his race car on a trailer behind his truck in the jeweler’s parking lot. After leaving the jeweler, he went straight to the track and left the ring box sitting in the front seat. Kimberly was at that same race and never noticed the little box just inches away. A few months earlier, Avery had asked someone they both knew to reach out to Kimberly about shooting a “proposal” at the Cliffs of Glassy Chapel. Kimberly had never been there, so Avery convinced her to go scout the location for the proposal. What she didn’t know was that the day they went to scout was actually the day he was going to propose. To make it even funnier, Kimberly almost skipped the whole scouting trip because the time conflicted with their dinner plans. Luckily, Avery convinced her to go and the rest was perfect. Just minutes before they arrived it had been rainy and stormy, but as they pulled up to the chapel the skies cleared. Avery got down on one knee and asked the easiest question Kimberly has ever answered. Afterwards, a surprise party with all their closest friends and family made it an unforgettable day. Now they are counting down the days until they say “I do” and they can’t wait to celebrate with everyone who has been part of their story.
