Maid of Honour
Paris is not only Avery's baby sister, but also her best friend. They have always been attached at the hip, from childhood to moving to another country together. The two have dreamt of their weddings since they were little girls so they always knew they would be be one another's maid of honour! When Paris flew back to surprise Avery for the engagement, it was the cherry on top of an already perfect day. Kieran loves his new "sista" and their many inside jokes.
Matthew Gordon
Best Man
Kieran and Matt (aka Gordo) have been inseparable friends since they met at Tyndale. They were roommates for 5.5 years including a couple months where Kieran lived with the Gordon family in Orangeville! Although Gordo is an individual, he always waited for Kieran to go to bed so that he didn't miss any fun in the house. Gordo has been Kieran's RA partner, prayer partner, and silly hat partner. He is a true friend to both Kieran and Avery, rooting for them from the start.
Sydney Hubbard
Matron of Honour
Sydney is Avery's cousin but basically her older sister. From playing "Princess and the Pauper" to Taylor Swift concerts to being in each other's weddings, our friendship has lasted the test of time! Even though Sydney now lives in Florida (with her husband, Tyler, and new baby, Miles) she and Avery always pick up right where they left off! Kieran and Avery love getting to spend time with her and Tyler and can't wait to hang out again soon!
Bradley Sweetman
Groomsman
Brad is Kieran's older brother. Brad and Kieran grew up playing mini sticks together every Saturday night. This evolved to watching each other's hockey games and, most recently, playing for their softball team the "SpaceJammers." While she isn't a huge sports fan, Avery often came out to cheer on the Sweetman boys and support from the sidelines. Brad has always kept Kieran in line through the use of physical force which is claimed to be out of love.
Rebekah Ledlie
Bridesmaid
Rebekah and Avery met on the first day of University at Tyndale and have been inseparable ever since! She carries a beautiful sensitivity while caring for friends and always gives her 110%! She is a STAR when it comes to all things events and bridal! From helping Kieran plan the surprise engagement to being integral in picking Avery's wedding dress, she puts her all into helping those she loves!
Jay Stocks
Groomsman
Jay is Avery and Kieran's close friend from Tyndale. Jay has been a consistent and loyal friend to us both, always checking in and able to hang out. Although he never paid rent at Kieran's house, he spent all his time there. He has a big heart and is very intentional in giving great gifts including a homemade chess board! Avery and Kieran always know Jay will be there for them with a smile and a sarcastic remark.
Caitlin Sweetman
Bridesmaid
Caitlin is Kieran's only and eldest sister. Kieran and Caitlin grew up playing lots of pretend together and Caitlin showed up the boys when they played on the same baseball team. Even through Kieran and Caitlin's homeschool differences, she remained to be one of Kieran's most trusted confidants. Avery cannot wait to gain her as a sister too! She is extremely creative and we can't wait to have her art on display with all of our wedding signage.
Noah Orth
Groomsman
Noah is Kieran's crazy friend. Noah and Kieran have had many conversations discussing life, Jesus, and how to make the perfect layup. Noah is notoriously lazy when making his food, but has always been intentional in serving and loving his friends, even starting a Bible study in the house of boys. Noah's wise words from his first sermon will always be Kieran's motto in life, "Ain't nobody got it better than us." Kieran and Avery are thankful for Noah's fun-loving attitude and silly goose tendencies.
Julia Verdugo
Bridesmaid
Julia (or Jules) and Avery met in music class in Grade 9. Since then, they have been in school plays together, travelled to Disney World, graduated University, worked on our Masters, and gotten engaged to our dream guys within 2 months of each other. It is so exciting being in this season together!
Porter Woods
Groomsman
Porter is Kieran's close friend. He may seem rough and rugged on the outside but has a heart of gold on the inside. Porter and Kieran love to discuss their hypothetical future jobs, places to live, and podcast episodes. Porter has no athleticism, but that doesn't stop him from always being willing to play a game of catch or basketball with Kieran. Avery and Kieran are thankful for Porter introducing his better half, Korinna, into their lives.
Micaiah Lewis
I Do Crew
Micaiah will be reading Scripture at our ceremony. She was the FIRST person to find out that we were dating and was the absolute best third wheel in our early dating years. Time spent in her presence is always time well spent. She is hilarious, kind, and a dear friend to the both of us!
Aaron Pinksen
Usher
Aaron was Kieran's first friend at Tyndale. They have been friends ever since. Aaron taught both Kieran and Dwight Powell, of the Dallas Mavericks, basketball fundamentals which led to both of their success in the game. Aaron always hated the mess in the house they lived in, Kieran and Aaron bonded over days of cleaning and expressing hate for Noah's mess. Aaron has been a trusted and reliable friend both near and abroad. Avery and Kieran have appreciated his friendship.

Shontelle will be reading Scripture at our ceremony. She is an extremely loyal friend who you know is praying for you and cheering you on at all times! She is always up for an adventure and even travelled to visit Avery while she was living in Arizona! Their road trip to the Grand Canyon was one for the books!
Mackenzie Collier
Usher
Mackenzie and Kieran became friends from the first days of Tyndale. Mackenzie often helped Kieran in his maintenance shift in their early years. They even served community service hours for their tomfoolery in throwing pumpkins off of roofs. Mackenzie has always been willing to have important conversations about life with Kieran. Avery and Kieran are excited for married dates with him and Bethany.
Ellie & Dylan Melo
Wedding Singers
Ellie and Dylan are a talented power couple and we can't wait to have them lead us in worship at our wedding ceremony. While Kieran and Ellie were friends at Echo Lake, Avery and Ellie became fast friends at Tyndale. Avery and Kieran had the privilege of travelling to New York for their wedding last fall. Since then, our friendship has flourished through life-chats, haircuts, and beach days.
Conor & Taylor Sweetman
Toast-Givers
Taylor and Conor are Kieran's two older brothers. Their relationship with Kieran is very important and meaningful to him. Kieran has cherished the moments growing up with them and playing lots of road hockey in the driveway, this made Kieran tough as he took a lot of shots as goalie. Taylor was always willing to share and explain complicated concepts of economics and computer engineering which expanded Kieran's knowledge. Conor and Hannah have taken an active role in mentoring Kieran and Avery as they step into marriage. Whether they are near or far, Kieran and Avery have appreciated their deep relationships.
