Josh and Avery first met through mutual friends in Charlotte, and after going out and about with some of their closest friends for months, Josh finally asked Avery out on a date for the first time in a meadow near Avery's apartment in Midtown (more about that meadow later...) Josh has told Avery many times that he fell in love with her the moment he saw her eyes. Avery couldn't get enough of Josh's charm and ability to make her laugh. From the moment they met, he always knew what to say to make her days a little brighter. Their relationship was put to the test early when Josh moved from Charlotte to Washington D.C. in the summer of 2018. It was, thankfully, a short trip. Avery and Josh would make the flight (or LONG drive) back and forth all summer long to spend their weekends with one another before Josh moved back in August. They love taking Saturday morning walks to the Farmer's Market, binge watching Friends and The Office, discovering new hiking trails around the Carolinas, Pizza Fridays and taking their sweet Golden Retriever, Lucy, to the park. On June 27, 2020, Josh took Avery back to that meadow where they went on their first date years ago. What she thought was just a summer picnic quickly turned into the best surprise after Josh popped the question and their closest family and friends were waiting nearby to celebrate. They cannot wait to share their vows with you and continue the celebrations on October 9,2021!
