Ethan and Avery spent the better part of 6 years in Austin and at Texas State University running in the same circles, but somehow never met. They then began working at the same company fresh out of college but were in two separate buildings, still having not met. Then one fateful day in 2019 they bumped into each other in a parking garage at work. They began talking and realized that they knew all of the same people. Ethan decided to invite Avery to accompany him to the company Christmas party that weekend. This marked the first date of many. They realized they shared not only friends, but taste in music, and values. It was as if they had known each other all along. 

Fast forward a few months, and Covid hit. At a time when everyone was forced to choose who they wanted to spend their time with, Ethan and Avery chose each other. During this time, Avery asked the typical “what are we?” question, to which Ethan begrudgingly responded “i guess we can date”. They spent the next three years adapting and integrating their lives together. They filled this time by traveling, cooking, laughing, trying new things, and becoming the best of friends/partners. 

In 2024 they decided to settle down and bought their first house in Buda, TX. They spent the better half of 2024 settling into their new home. Nine months later they decided to visit Las Vegas on a whim to attend the F1 Grand Prix. It was there that Ethan got down on one knee in front of the crowds and grandstands to ask “Will you marry me?”. 

The rest of their story is yet to be written but is sure to hold some of their greatest adventures and accomplishments together.
