When we were introduced back in 2010, he was supposed to be my brother's friend but we ended up being friends instead. We hanged out a lot back then, with spontaneous trips for food, coffee, movie and other activities. We got along so well, it was fun to hang out with each other as we both like doing the same things. We got to know each other well as our friendship grew, got used to each other's quirks and made fun of each other a lot (or should i say, he made fun of me A LOT).
He proposed at the Long Jetty in Central Coast with the help of church friends. It was during sunset, at the end of a long day filled with activities. He walked me down the shortest of the three Jetties, a drone was following us, and there was hardly any person in sight! When I saw the set-up at the end of the jetty, I was in panic and I couldn't help but say "oh no! oh no! oh my!!" the whole time. I vaguely remember seeing the roses, then the sign, then he faced me towards him, took out a piece of paper - his speech - and i never heard a word of it! Next thing i know, he knelt down on one knee and instead of "Will you marry me?" i heard "Can you stop freaking out and answer me first?" (HAHA!) I guess it took me too long to give an answer! Of course I SAID YES! and yes, i got to read his speech too.
