Avery and Chris met at Satellite Bar & Lounge in Wilmington, NC on October 21, 2021. It was the day before a mutual friend's wedding they were both attending as guests!

How did he propose?

Answer

Avery believes that love should be beautifully documented in all seasons of life, so she had been wanting to do a couples portrait session with Chris. He surprised her with a weekend getaway at Laguna Beach in California, complete with a photo shoot he had planned on his own. Fifteen minutes into the session on Victoria Beach, Chris dropped to one knee in front of Pirate Tower. Stunned, Avery simply froze in shock, until Chris asked if she was going to answer. Finally, she said yes!

Why are they eloping?

The theme is low stress! As a wedding photographer, Avery has seen firsthand how overwhelming large weddings can become. That's why the couple has chosen to have an intimate ceremony at a beautiful destination, just the two of them. Avery and Chris look forward to celebrating with loved ones at a later date, and will be sure to share photos from their elopement!

Answer

Chris and Avery are two halves of a perfect match who balance and complement each other beautifully. While their personalities vary as individuals, they both share the same direction in life, drive for success, wanderlust, love for family, and for each other. Occasionally their professions intertwine with Chris assisting Avery at weekend weddings by carrying equipment and operating the drone for aerial footage, and Avery shopping for and decorating properties, and photographing his rental listings. Even with their busy careers, they always make time to unwind together, and make a point to go on frequent dates and trips to stay connected. With Avery and Chris bouncing between the East and West, they have yet to decide on which coast to settle, build a home, and their happily ever after.
