We met in the sweetest, most unexpected way... through my parents. It was one Sunday afternoon at our church where Casey’s words, full of humility and authenticity, left such an impression on my mom. Casey was on stage speaking at InsideOut which is the high school ministry that my parents volunteer at. While he was speaking, my mom turned to my dad and said “Avery!” and pointed at Casey. My parents began scheming on how they were going to talk to Casey and somehow bring me up in their conversation. Funny enough, my dad confidently walked up to Casey after the service and told him that he had a daughter. This conversation led to Casey asking me to coffee, then dinner dates, then dating, and now ENGAGED! Our parents saw something special and set us up—and as it turns out, parents really *do* know best. Both of us had been praying and waiting for "our person," and when we met, it was clear that God had perfectly timed it all. Our story is such a reminder that God’s plans are always good, and we hope it brings others the same hope it’s brought us.
