How we met

June 10, 2016

We met during a mutual incoming students discussion we both participated in before arriving at TFC. He was funny and witty while she was eager yet reserved as we both were just trying to get to know several students before taking the big leap at a college away from home. Luckily, we kept in touch! Every day in fact! When we finally met in person, the conversations flowed even more easily than they ever could over the phone. Introduction week at TFC soon became introducing ourselves further to one another. It was exciting to get to know another person on a different level, and whether we wanted to admit it or not, feelings were definitely starting to grow throughout the next couple of months. We believe that the thing that drew us most to each other was that we shared extremely similar roots and values thus we could relate to one another with ease. Yet, we were so much different on the surface levels but were willing to understand and listen to our differences. As we decided to begin a relationship, we wanted to keep that same energy and honesty we had with each other from the start! From the beginning, we shared the same heart! The same heart for the Lord, the same heart for our goals in life, and the same heart for each other! Now, we are excited to look back on everything we have learned throughout our relationship and share one life!

The Proposal; Everyone kept the Secret!

March 24, 2018

~Words from the Bride~ Though I was extremely lead astray, this day couldn't have been more perfect! After much planning and telling pretty much EVERYONE but me, I believe everything almost everything went according to his plan. So the story goes... The proposal was leading up to Easter Sunday and the weekend was supposed to be the dryest we had in a while. Avery asked me the Monday before if I wanted to get out and go to the park, one we frequent often, and then go shopping for the normal Easter outfit. Of course, I said yes and believed my weekend was set and planned just how I like it! The day of the proposal arrives and I have no idea! To my knowledge, we were just walking at the park and maybe throwing around a frisbee. We started walking towards a really nice spot we like to go and casually hung around and observed the area. We held hands and talked, nothing was out of the ordinary! When we arrived at the spot of his choosing, he said, "You know I love you right?" Still thinking nothing of it I said of course and asked the question back smiling. Soon after, I was caught off guard and he tapped me on the shoulder. To my surprise, Avery was down on one knee, ring in hand and popped the question! Oh yes! The tears started to flow and within my outstanding yes all I could say was, "It's time!" Almost as a question, but I couldn't have been more reassured by the overwhelming smile on Avery's face! We're engaged! The rest of the day's plans are off right? Nope! Just engaged, we continued to go shopping. Little did I know, yet again, that it was all a stall! I assumed he had some other plans, maybe a nice dinner. But, the actual plan was much better! As I thought we were finally going home to maybe change, Avery uttered that he really wished we could have shared this day with family right as we were pulling into the neighborhood. We turned the corner....All of my family's cars were in the driveway! Avery planned a get together to celebrate us! It was PERFECT!

Thank You!

The support of our friends and family mean everything!

We both want to thank everyone in advance for sharing our special day! We also want to thank everyone who will continue to help out, we would not be able to pull off this wedding without y'all! Each and every one of you has shown us support in some way and we will forever be grateful! We love you all! Can't wait to see y'all at the wedding!
