We met country dancing through a mutual friend. We danced and talked, and eventually Avery said, "So, are you gonna ask for my number?"
About two weeks after meeting, Avery moved to Idaho for school at the end of April. We talked on facetime every day, and learned so much about each other very quickly. We took turns flying back and forth for birthdays and holidays, whenever work and school allowed.
Adrian flew up to Idaho to help Avery move back to Arizona. We went country dancing, then started the 16 hour drive home the next morning. We spent our time in Arizona getting to know each others families and doing projects together.
We both came up to Idaho, together this time! We spend our time doing homework, rock climbing, going on scenic drives, and making food.
We drove up to Island Park, Idaho, where Adrian had set up a spot in the forest. On the way in, Adrian's car got stuck in the snow. It was dark and cold, and we spent about two hours getting the car unstuck. By the time we got to the spot, we were wet and cold and ready to go home. We got a video, and got out of there so fast. The woods were dark and scary, we both thought we were going to die. We returned the next day at sunset to take better pictures, which also turned out to be dark and blurry. At the end of the day, what matters is that we are engaged!
