We met at freshman orientation at Florida State University, completely by chance, but perfectly meant to be. Because Sebastian’s last name is Vallone and mine is Young, we were placed in the same orientation group. I noticed him immediately. Maybe it was his height, maybe it was the way he quietly opened the door for me as we walked into a session… but something about him stood out. Later that day, he walked up to my friend and me to ask where he needed to go to take his student ID photo. That simple question turned into a conversation, and that conversation turned into us spending the rest of orientation together...laughing, talking, and realizing how easy everything felt. I still remember texting my best friend that night: “I think I just met the perfect guy and his name is Sebastian.” I’d always imagined myself with a surfer boy, someone kind, adventurous, and effortlessly genuine. And somehow, in the middle of college chaos, I found exactly that. The rest, as they say, is history and now we can’t wait to start the next chapter together!
