We met on Hinge in August of 2023, and hit it off! After a couple months of talking daily, going on dates, and getting to know each other better, we decided to make it official on New Year's Eve. ~ Over the next nine months we enjoyed trips to Red River Gorge, John treating me to dates as my own personal pilot, and spending countless evenings creating delicious dinners together. On September 20, 2024 John swore in to the Space Force, and on September 22, 2024 John left for nine weeks to attend Officer Training School. ~ After a long nine weeks, we were finally reunited at John's Commissioning Ceremony. Here John took the oath to become an Officer in the Space Force. After the ceremony John was given orders to attend further training in Colorado Springs. ~ During his time at Officer Training School, John spent what little free time he had planning the perfect proposal. On February 22, 2025, John told me to pack an overnight bag and hop in the car, he had a birthday/Valentine's Day surprise for me! John had rented a private Airbnb that included a personal hot tub, sauna, gym, and gorgeous mountain range view. After the initial shock of seeing our secluded cabin, John proposed! Just us, the mountains, and a few deer in the valley below had the privilege of enjoying that special moment together :) ~ We spent nine long months doing distance from September 2024 when John left for Officer Training School to May 2025 when I moved out to Colorado Spring so we could be together once again! We cannot wait, and are so excited to share and celebrate our special day with each and every one of you!
