We're getting married!

Casen and I met at Mountain Man’s Pizza in Elk City, Oklahoma. I was visiting my friend Callie at SWOSU when she asked if I wanted to grab lunch with her boyfriend and one of his friends. I had been to Mountain Man’s once before with my dad and loved the pizza, so I was in. When we showed up, Casen was very shy, and completely covered in camo from head to toe. They had been hunting coyotes (which I didn’t even know was a thing before meeting him). Funny enough, we barely talked at all. I thought he was cute and maybe someone I’d enjoy getting to know, but I assumed the distance would surely be too much. I was wrong. On July 19th, Casen made the trip to Lubbock for our very first date, and I knew right away I’d indeed be marrying him. We survived long distance for the rest of the year, and I graduated college on May 15, 2025. My only mission after that was making it back to western Oklahoma… and mission accomplished. On October 30th, Casen proposed among the cows in Leedey, Oklahoma, surrounded by our best friends. It was the easiest “yes” of my life. Casen is my greatest joy, and we can’t wait to celebrate our big day with you this July! - Averi
