We met on Hinge in December 2023 — but plot twist: we both swiped left the first time. (Rude, right?) Luckily, the algorithm believed in us more than we did, and gave us a second chance. This time, we both swiped right. After two weeks of chatting, Zach finally asked Averey out to dinner on December 17th. We had a great first date at Malai Kitchen in West Village, and agreed to see each other again after the holiday craziness. Date #2 is where the magic really happened — we ended up talking at a bar until 1am, laughing, connecting, and realizing we had way too much in common to ignore. That night officially kicked off our love story. Fast forward to February 2024: Zach made it official and asked Averey to be his girlfriend. In our first year together, we went on a cruise to Mexico, explored California, took several trips to Arkansas to visit Zach’s family, and in true rom-com fashion, moved in together in October. Then, on February 21, 2025, Zach popped the big question at Lake Cliff Park in Dallas — our favorite weekend stroll spot with our pup, Ripley. Averey said yes (duh), and the wedding planning began! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you — the people we love most!
