Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

For the ceremony, the bride and groom ask that all guests please do NOT take pictures. We ask that this be an unplugged ceremony. We have hired and paid for a photographer to take professional pictures during this time and prefer to not have to see your phones or for the photographer to have to edit out your phones from our pictures. This is a very special time for everyone, and we want you to enjoy it through your eyes and not your camera lens. At the reception, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like. We will provide a QR code at each table for guests to upload their pictures of the reception for the bride and groom to enjoy.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We both love kids and are happy to see them attend! However, since there are limited guests allowed at the venue, only the immediate children of the specific families invited are allowed to attend.

Question

Can I bring a Plus 1?

Answer

Due to the strict attendance policy of the Texas State Park, only those listed on the invitations are welcome to attend.

Question

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be held in the Mack Dick Pavilion in Palo Duro Canyon. The ceremony (if the weather permits) will be held outside on the grounds of the Pavilion. If the weather does not permit, the ceremony and reception will both be held inside the Pavilion. See schedule for more information on the ceremony and reception.

Question

Will we need to pay to gain entrance to the canyon?

Answer

No, guests' entrance fees will be covered by the bride's family. However, only the guests who RSVP'd will be allowed entrance to the wedding.

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

The Mack Dick Pavilion in Palo Duro Canyon has a parking lot with plenty of parking right outside the building with easy access to get into the building and around the grounds. The entrance to the Pavilion is wheelchair accessible.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 3 o'clock in afternoon. It would be appropriate to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony as this will give plenty of time for seating before the ceremony begins.

Question

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception will end at 9:00 p.m. This will allow the bride and groom to be sent off and for those assigned to clean up the reception area. The park closes at 10:00 p.m. and all guests will need to be out of the park before this time or guests will be locked inside the park.

Question

Are we allowed to go inside the Pavilion before the ceremony begins?

Answer

Access into the Mack Dick Pavilion before the wedding begins will be prevented and denied. The doors will be locked until the reception begins. After the reception, guests will have all access to the building and grounds to explore and settle into seats.

Question

Will there be restrooms?

Answer

Yes, there are large indoor restrooms that guests will be able to use. The restrooms have indoor and outdoor access. The outdoor access will be unlocked for guests' use before, during, and after the ceremony and reception. However, the indoor access into the main part of the Pavilion will be prevented until the reception begins.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Church appropriate clothing is preferred by the bride and groom. How fancy y'all dress is up to you so long as it is church appropriate!

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We have catered Alexander's brisket, sausage, "party potatoes" (i.e., potato casserole), green beans, salad, and rolls. We will have the following beverages for guests to drink: sweet and unsweet tea, lemonade, and water. Alternative food for dietary restrictions will not be provided. Therefore, if there is a dietary restriction, you are welcome to bring your own food items.

Question

Will there be alcohol provided?

Answer

This is a dry wedding per the bride and groom's request. Alcohol is prohibited and is not to be brought into the wedding for personal use. Other non-alcoholic drinks will be provided for guests.

Question

Where do I sit during the reception?

Answer

There is no seating chart for the reception. There will be reserved tables for the bride and groom and the wedding party. All guests are welcome to sit at any available table in the reception area.
