The closest airport to us by far is Gold Coast airport (15 min by car). This airport is great if you're flying from another city in Australia, or from a nearby country in Asia/New Zealand. If you're flying straight from Europe, America or South Africa, choosing Brisbane Airport could save you money and flight time. Brisbane airport is 1h 10 min away. You can get from Brisbane airport with car if we can collect you, by train to Varsity Lakes (we can collect you from there), by Uber or by shuttles like Con-X-Ion.

We live in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast. We have 1 self contained studio and 2 spare bedrooms for our closest family to stay, either before or after the wedding.

A 2 bedroom house near the beach will be available for our family and friends. Including the sleeper couch, this house fits 6 people and is located in Palm Beach 300 m from our house and 200 m from the beach. This place will be available a couple of weeks before, and after the wedding. To help as many of our family and friends as possible, we'll try to have multiple groups stay here during that time. Our old house, a 4 bedroom house located 1.5 km from our home, can be organised for our guests to stay. It's a beautiful house with a pool and renovated kitchen, but furnishings will be limited at the time; think blow up mattresses and limited lounge furniture. This place is suited to a large group of up to 12 of our friends, who ideally have a rental car during their stay. It's available for two weeks, so one group can stay here the week before the wedding, and another the week after.

There are plenty of good options for hotels and airbnbs in the area. We recommend staying near Palm Beach, QLD, as that's where we live. The suburbs Burleigh, Miami, Tugun, Currumbin, Bilinga and Elanora are good too!

Visitor visas are required for all tourist before flying to Australia. For Europeans it's free and quick, but please use the link below to avoid scams. For South Africans, the process is a bit longer, and you have to provide some documentation. Make sure to get the process started a few months before flying. Message us if you need help with visas.

We recommend getting an E-sim for your stay as public wifis are uncommon.
Rental Car

We recommend getting a rental car for your stay, as the Gold Coast have an unlimited amount of things to see along the coast. If you don't get a car, we recommend you stay close to the beach as public transport is best along the beach, and more limited inland. Uber and Didi are good options too.
