How did Ava and Royce meet?

It all started on the dating app, Hinge. Ava and Royce matched on a fateful Saturday in July 2023. Ava was on vacation so they met the next Friday after she got back home. The first date went well and so did the second date the next day. The following weekend, Ava and Royce went out twice. On Sunday, Royce decided that he did not want to wait until the next weekend so the couple reconvened two days later on Tuesday. From that point on, and until now, a week rarely passes when the couple do not see each other five or six times.

How did the proposal happen?

In March 2023, Ava and Royce had the opportunity to travel to London with Grand Canyon University for an educational trip. Sensing an opportunity, Royce planned to propose on this trip. Initially, the plan was to propose at Windsor Castle. Unfortunately, due to a mix-up with the travel company, Windsor happened to be closed on the day our group was visiting and plans had to be adjusted. The following day, the group visited the London tower. During the tour, Royce noticed a perfect spot in the courtyard with views of the Thames River and the London Tower Bridge. He quickly rallied his photographers and brought Ava into position. As fate would have it, at the same time, a group of British school children (uniforms and all) lead by a woman dressed as a pilgrim moved into the spot. For the next ten minutes or so, Royce tried his best to stall although Ava assuredly saw through the cover. As soon as the children cleared out, Ava and Royce walked, arm-in-arm, to the spot. After a few words about the future, Royce got down on his knee and popped the question. Thankfully, Ava said, "yes" and the rest is history.
