April of 2011 Judah and I were debuting our acting careers in the our homeschool coop's production of "The Wizard of OZ." Wearing grey sweatpants, tails, and some facepaint, we danced around the Wicked Witch of the West, very convincingly played by my older sister Adelyn. Little did anyone know, one day, two of Adelyn's little henchman would meet again. December 2020 Years later, the Allen and Roush families were on friendly terms, but hadn't seen each other for a long time. One day, Eva Allen showed Judah a video of me (and Adelyn) singing a cover on our Instagram music account. She pointed at me and asked "Isn't she cute?" This is when Judah promptly decided to start his own music account. Around the same time, Mom showed me a picture of Judah from Eva's Facebook, and I thought he was a cutie. April 2021 Judah started his music account on Instagram, posting videos of his covers on guitar. I quickly found this account and followed it. Not long after, Eva reached out to my Mom, suggesting our families get together for a music night. June 4, 2021 The Roush family pulled up the Allen's long gravel driveway. Eva and Lucas warmly greeted us after years of not seeing each other. Then Judah stepped out of the house with his bright smile, and I was done for. Later that night, he asked me to share my favorite Gregory Alan Isakov songs with him and I swooned. October 24, 2021 After hanging out weekly all summer long, one friend zone, a whole lot of music, and one un-friend zone, Judah and I started dating. Around a bonfire at Yellowwood, we poured our hearts out. Judah admitted that I was the reason he learned guitar and started an Instagram music account in the first place. He had no idea his plan would work so well... November 26, 2025 Judah proposed to me after four years of dating, some long distance and many weekend visits. He took me on a picnic to Yellowwood State Forest, a place that now holds many sweet memories for both of us.
