If you would like to spend an extra full day in Pittsburgh, we blocked rooms on Thursday night at two hotels. We hope that everyone will arrive in time to attend our welcome reception on Friday evening at 7:30PM.
Please visit the travel page for hotel block options. If you are opting for an Airbnb or other rental, we recommend avoiding any places in the Oakland or Squirrel Hill neighborhoods given Pitt's graduation that weekend.
If you are staying at the Wyndham downtown, valet parking, if available, is $38/night. Alternatively, you can make a parking reservation at one of the nearby garages by visiting iparkit.com and searching for parking in Pittsburgh on the days of your stay. The cheapest and closest options are the Riverfront Center garage (one block away) and the 6th and Penn garage (two blocks away). At Hotel Indigo, parking is available at a rate of $20/night. For Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites guests, parking is available at a rate of $27/night.
Semi-formal attire is preferred. Anything from tuxes and gowns to suits and cocktail dresses, but feel free to dress to your comfort level.
Yes, we will have buses pick up guests at each of the hotels and bring them to Heinz Chapel. Following the reception, transportation will also be provided back to the hotels. We will send out additional information as the wedding gets closer.
Parking for both the wedding ceremony and reception is available at the Carnegie Museum off Forbes Ave at a rate of $10 for the night. Once you park, you can cut through the museum to get to Heinz Memorial Chapel for the ceremony. Should you have a little too much fun at the reception, you can pick up your car the next morning with no problem. If you visit the museum during the day and park on site, we will let you know if your paid parking will be good for the night should you leave and come back between your visit and the wedding.
We don't have any official plans for Sunday, but if you have afternoon travel plans, we will be grabbing breakfast and hanging out at Federal Galley (200 Children's Way, Pittsburgh) between 10-1pm if you would like to join.
