The Battery is a park full of Live Oak trees and surrounded by beautiful old homes that are classic Charleston. Take some time and wander the streets to admire the old architecture and walk along the water. I cannot recommend this enough!
There is so much to do on Folly Beach! Aside from the obvious beach, there are countless restaurants (seafood!), bars (one of our favorites is Chico Feo), and shops to check out.
The Old City Market is a great area to walk around, check out local vendors, and do some snacking.
Bulldog Tours offers tons of options to see the city from Pirate Dungeon Tours to walking history tours to food tours. Take a peek at their website and see what interests you!
Take a tour and see the waterfront!
Boone Hall is a bit of a drive but full of history! Tour the functioning farm, learn about the plantation history, see the slave quarters and learn about the Gullah Geechee people, and see the estate used in many notable films such as the Notebook.
There is a short boat ride from Liberty Harbor or Patriot's Point out to the fort. Tickets can be purchased through the website or at the gift store at Patriot's Point.
This is our favorite plantation tour for the history.
