Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Saturday, September 12th. The link to RSVP can be found under the "RSVP" tab on our website!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

For the ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church (830 Poplar Street), there are two main parking lots and additional street parking available. For the reception at Fall Line Station (567 Plum Street), there is limited street parking available throughout the downtown area. Fall Line Station is a 8 minute walk from St. Joseph Catholic Church. We recommend parking near the Church and walking to the reception afterwards due to the limited available parking downtown. Uber and Lyft are also an option!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Formal/Black-Tie Optional attire. Feel free to wear floor-length dresses, formal cocktail dresses, suits, or tuxedos. Please refrain from wearing any white outfits, including floral patterns that are mostly white. Both our ceremony and reception are indoors, but keep in mind Georgia's unpredictable weather. Additionally, please consider that our ceremony takes place within the Catholic Church. Please wear outfits that are appropriate for the Church and comfortable for standing, sitting, and kneeling.

Question

What if I am not Catholic?

Answer

No problem at all! All are invited to join us at the ceremony! Programs describing the parts of the Catholic ceremony and Mass will be handed out prior to the ceremony beginning. In accordance with Catholic Church doctrine, we are unable to extend an open invitation for everyone to receive communion. If you are not Catholic, we invite you to come forward at communion to receive a blessing and to be one with us in this faith community praying for Christian unity. When coming forward for a blessing, please indicate this by folding your arms across your chest. Alternatively, you may remain in your pew while communion takes place.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 6:30 pm. Please plan to be at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 6:00 pm to allow extra time for parking, walking, and finding a seat. Please do not arrive at the church before 5:45 pm in order to allow parishioners to exit the Vigil Mass taking place before the ceremony.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. When you RSVP through our website, the number and names of the guests we have accounted for will be listed. We kindly request that any guests not listed on your invitation and included in your RSVP do not attend. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends! However, due to venue limitations, we kindly ask that only children named on your invitation and RSVP attend. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out!

Question

What if I can not make it to the ceremony?

Answer

We completely understand and you will be missed! The ceremony will be live streamed by the Church for you to join us from afar! More information about how to access this live stream will be sent out closer to the wedding date.
