We met at the Walmart Deli, of all places. Chris had been working in the deli since May of 2021 and had noticed Ava pretty shortly after (considering she was always shopping for her family/Mimi). They didn't start talking immediately, until they had a brief interaction at the deli counter in September, which is when Ava noticed how genuine and sweet Chris was. A couple weeks later they exchanged social media and immediately started talking and FaceTiming with each other and had a strong connection from the start.
