Ava and Preston met in Calculus II during the fall of 2023 at Oklahoma State University. With Preston’s help, Ava survived Calc II—allowing them to keep taking classes together. As Fire Protection and Safety Engineering majors, they spent countless hours studying, attending (most of) their classes side by side, and growing closer along the way. What started in a calculus classroom turned into a lifelong partnership, and Preston proposed on March 16, 2025.
