We’re getting married!

Our story began March of 2016. A mutual friend of ours invited us both to go out to eat and bowling in Conyers, Georgia after an assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses. From there our friendship began. Over time all of our closest friends were couples and we found ourselves the only two single people in our group of friends. So everyone knew we were bound to get together... except us. Even when we would all go out to eat our servers would assume we were together. Eventually deeper feelings for each other actually did develop but at the time we both were nervous to make the first move. Finally in March 2017, after our friends prodding (thanks y’all!), we were honest about our feelings and were surprised that we both felt the same way about each other! A week later we began dating and now here we are.

On March 24, 2018 Autumn was interviewed at an assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the first time so both of our families and our close friends planned to go out to eat in Atlanta after the program to celebrate. Once we arrived to the trendy spot in Atlanta we decided to wait for our table on a beautiful bridge right outside of the restaurant. Louis then asked me if I wanted to walk up onto the bridge. Me being difficult and not understanding the point, asked, “Why? Our table is almost ready”. Louis, wishing I would just cooperate, smoothly came up with an excuse as to why we should go onto the bridge. Now the scenery was perfect and the mood was set. Once on the bridge, Louis said, “I see you didn’t have your watch on earlier. (Louis a week before bought me a watch for our one year dating anniversary that I wasn’t wearing earlier) I want to give you some jewelry you won’t take off.” Then he got on one knee, and asked me to marry him! And of course I said yes! We then had a wonderful meal at the restaurant and then listened to live music.
