Honestly, we don't remember how we met! We grew up in the same town, Penfield, a suburb of Rochester. Dugan was friends with Autumn's brother, Ryan, through soccer. Dugan's dad taught Autumn middle school science. Dugan's mom was a legendary field hockey player who coached at Penfield. Autumn's mom helped Dugan start his coaching career. Allegedly, Dugan was at Autumn's high school graduation party (but "only to see her brothers"). Allegedly, Autumn and Dugan sat next to each other at the PHS state-semi final game in 2010, watching their brothers (Ryan and Cory) play. The houses we grew up in were within 1 mile of each other. We both went to separate schools to become Doctors of Physical Therapy, coincidentally. We've had so many indirect connections over the years, finally ending up together in 2020. We went on socially-distanced walks during the pandemic, using "Peter Panda" (Autumn's new puppy) as the ultimate ice-breaker. He still is the star of the show. The three of us have been walking together ever since! Nothing fancy, just love.
