Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m. EST and we intend for it to be shorter than most. So be on time, or you may miss it! We recommend arriving no later than 3:00 p.m. to ensure everyone has time to park, use the restroom, briefly socialize, and walk or catch a ride down the hill to your seat. Don't be late and make the eager bride have to wait any longer to marry her man!
We have already accounted for all plus ones in your invitations and RSVPs. While we would love to allow everyone a plus one, our venue guest limit hinders our ability to do so.
Our dress code is Summer Cocktail and Summer Chic! The ceremony will be outdoors in June (some shade provided by the beautiful willow oak tree on property) and the reception will be inside/outside the air-conditioned barn, so we want our guests to be comfortable. For men, this can include a long or short sleeve button up shirt in lightweight fabrics and dressy pants or chinos. For women, this can include dresses from mid-thigh to ankle-length or dressy jumpsuits. While not required, we would love to see our guests wearing colors that match our theme and decor-- oranges, blues, pinks, and purples. Unsure about your fit? Send Autumn a pic!
There will be kids at our wedding! We have talked to most of you ahead of time; your invitiations and RSVPs already account for all children invited. Please note, we intend to P A R T Y at our wedding, dance to our favorite music (probably not censored!!), and be joyful and loud. If you think any of this might be too much for your kids that are invited, please consider leaving them with a babysitter while you come celebrate with us. We intend to have some kid-oriented activities available and the venue has some games as well that can help keep kids occupied throughout the event.
We have lived together for almost 6 years and still live in a very small apartment. While we would love to accept gifts, we truthfully have no room for any more items in our apartment, and we are already established with the items we need and love. For those who are more traditional or stubborn, we have included an opportunity for our loved ones to contribute to our Newlywed House Fund instead! Our biggest goal as a couple currently is purchasing a home together. That is the thing we want and need most and our loved one’s contributions would mean more to us than any thing you could buy us. Your contribution can be as little or as small as you want. But we truly mean it when we say that your presence is the perfect present, so please do not feel obligated to make any contribution at all.
The ceremony (as long as it doesn't rain) will be down by the lake and under the large willow oak tree. This means you will have to tread down some grassy areas and a small slope to get to our ceremony. Ladies, feel free to wear your stylish shoes for pics and bring a comfy pair of shoes to change into for walking or dancing!
The venue should be mostly accessible. Our ceremony will be down by the lake under the large willow oak tree. This will require a short walk down a small grassy hill. Our venue, though will be able to assist with giving folks who need assistance a ride down the hill to their seat and back to the barn afterward. The reception is held in the barn which is one level and has a concrete floor.
The venue will have parking! Please note, the venue operates daily as a farm, so you can expect gravel and grassy, dirt path areas. We think our venue will be upgrading the driveway, though, prior to our ceremony date!
Please refrain from using your cell phone for pictures, video, or otherwise during the ceremony. As a short girl her whole life, Autumn knows how annoying it can be to be at an event and be unable to see because someone's arm or other extremity is blocking their view while taking a photo. We don't want anyone's view (including our photographer's) to be obscured and blocked. Autumn promises that they hired an incredible photographer to capture the wedding ceremony and that she will share the photos with everyone for years to come (seriously, you'll get tired of her sharing them eventually). We will notify and ask a few people in the audience to take some photos and videos. At the reception, please take as many pictures as possible and share them with us later!
Yes, we will provide alcohol to our guests! Our venue requires that only alcohol provided through the bartenders be consumed on the premises for insurance purposes. We will provide a variety of beer, seltzers, and wine per the license limits of our venue and bartenders. There will also be plenty of non-alcoholic options available including sodas, sweet tea, waters, etc.
Soccer Taco will be catering our wedding with a fajita bar! Dinner options will include steak, chicken, and fajita veggies (all separate from each other), refried beans, rice, all the toppings, corn and flour tortillas, and lots of chips and dips. If you have any severe allergies or concerns, please message us directly so we can make a plan. We intend to do things a little differently than most weddings and get our guests started with dinner very quickly after the ceremony so that we can all get a good base and fuel up to PARTY! We will also have some late-night snacks including chips, dips, pretzels, and of course desserts.
We have access to our venue until 10 p.m. so we intend to do our final send off around 9:30-9:45 p.m. We know that many of you are coming from out of town to be with us and we want to maximize the time we can spend with our loved ones celebrating. Don't feel like you have to dance the whole time (even though Autumn wants to!). We will have lawn games (giant connect four, cornhole, etc), card games (the Bride will beat all of you at UNO), and quieter areas can be found for those who need a rest! All we ask is that you check all your worries and problems in the world at the barn door and have fun with us for as long as you can!
Okay, call or text Autumn or Cole! We got you!
