We were introduced through mutual friends during a small get together. We hit it off immediately and stayed up until 6 am talking until drifting off mid sentence. We slept for three hours, and woke up to get breakfast with (most importantly) mimosas, continuing our conversation right where we left off. Neither of us were looking for a relationship at the time but that's the cliche thing about love, it comes when you least expect it. You can probably guess the rest.
We had just walked onto the beach in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, to watch the sunset with most of our immediate family, when a tie dye beach towel was laid down in front of me that said "Marry Me?". Still confused about what was going on, it didn't hit me until Tracy reached into her pocket and dropped down on one knee. As soon as I said yes, a double rainbow popped up in the sky right behind us, as if we weren’t gay enough.. but anyways.. Lets drink beer and be queer! #MyFirstGayWedding
We went to the courthouse in St. Augustine where it took longer for the officiant to find some white out (they made a mistake on our marriage license) than to perform our ceremony. We had our amazing photographer meet us there where we snapped a couple pics before heading to the fort in St. Augustine to continue our session. We decided to secretly elope so we could keep our original date of September 29th and we wanted the intimacy of it just being the two of us. It was the most perfect day that rolled into the most perfect weekend.
