We’re Getting Married!

There isn't anything that touches our hearts more than a high school sweetheart love story. They first met in 2018 when Austyn was a junior and Sara was a sophomore. Their love story all began in the gym at Narrows High School. They would sit with a group of friends on the bleachers every morning before first period. They had the same lunch period as well, so Sara and Austyn would sit together in the bleachers watching students play basketball and chatting amongst their friends. They talked all the time. While they were in their separate classes, they sent messages back and forth. Sara and Austyn would talk as much as they could once they were home, until one of them eventually passed out at the end of the night. April 21, 2018, Austyn and Sara were hanging out at the park with some old friends, they were sitting at the picnic tables at the third shelter. Sara laying on Austyn's legs, he leaned down and asked the question that began it all. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Obviously, you know where it's at from there. Friday, April 19, 2024, Austyn called out of work to go get his hair cut and pick out a ring. Sara had to work a double shift, 3:00 PM- 7:00AM so that was the perfect day for Austyn to go and get the ring without her knowing. When Austyn was done doing what he needed to do, he brought Sara Olive Garden for Lunch. When Austyn gave Sara the food, they realized that there wasn't a fork in the bag. Sara tried to look in the middle console, but Austyn wouldn't let her look, which made Sara very confused. She was consistent on trying to open it and check for a fork, but to no avail, Austyn was positive there was absolutely no fork or anything else in the middle console. The next day, April 20, 2024, Sara and Austyn had plans with their friends, Emily and Sotero. Anytime they go somewhere they always play music on Austyn's phone; Sara is usually the "DJ." Except this time Austyn wouldn't let Sara have his phone because he had messages with Emily and Sara's mom, Karen, about the proposal. Austyn tried covering it up saying that Karen and her stepdad, Brian, had a surprise for her which made Sara so excited. Once Austyn and Sara picked up their friends, Sara and Emily went and got their nails done while the guys stayed in the car. Once they were done getting their nails done, they all drove to Claytor Lake to look at boat rentals. After they talked to the boat rental receptionist, they drove down the boat dock. While Emily was recording without Sara knowing, Austyn got down on one knee and asked Sara to marry him! It was one of the best days of their lives.
