Penn Yan—and especially Keuka Lake—holds a special place in the Hayes family's heart. Zach's mother (Sue) and grandparents grew up in the area, and during his childhood, his grandparents owned a lake house that became the family's cherished summer destination year after year. After his grandparents retired, they sold the lake house, and the family didn't return until Zach's sister (Shelby) discovered their beloved family home listed on Airbnb. Since then, the Hayes family has made an annual tradition of gathering at Keuka Lake, creating new memories while celebrating the place that has meant so much to generations of their family. That same lake house is where Zach asked Austria to marry him, making it an even more meaningful part of their story. When it came time to choose a wedding location, they knew they wanted a place filled with family history, treasured memories, and love. Today, the next generation of the Hayes family (Zach's nieces, Quinn Willow and Georgie) is beginning to create their own special memories at Keuka Lake, continuing a tradition that has brought the family together for decades.
