Direct flights are available from many cities to MSY airport. The wedding and reception will both be taking place in the historic French Quarter neighborhood, which is about a 30 minute drive from the airport. Uber/Lyft is very easy. Most of the hotels within the French Quarter are older and/or more formal. Your other options will likely be in the Central Business District (CBD) which is more like any city's "downtown"- much more hustle and bustle and chain restaurants/shopping. There are also many cool options along Magazine Street and/or in the Garden District. Our top recommendation would be to book a room at Hotel Peter and Paul (more information below) or renting via Airbnb or VRBO in the Marigny neighborhood. It is a charming, low key, and walkable area that is just adjacent to the French Quarter.

This property is a former 19th-century Catholic church and school house, located in the boho Marigny neighborhood (just on the edge of the French Quarter- about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive from the reception). The on-site Elysian Bar is super stylish and a variety of other bars and restaurants are nearby. While overall an upscale property, there are a variety of room types at different price points.There is inventory reserved specifically for our wedding until 9/2. This means that if rooms have sold out to the public, there are still some reserved through that code. If additional dates appear unavailable, the front desk can potentially extend your dates on either end. You are also totally welcome to book on your own as well- we won't be penalized if the rooms don't book up!
